The Department of Civil Engineering offers the Bachelor of Civil Engineering program and contributes to postgraduate studies in structural and earthquake engineering. The curriculum covers structural analysis and design, geotechnical, transportation, water resources, environmental and construction management, backed by surveying camps, concrete, soil, hydraulics and highway laboratories. Students take part in field surveys, bridge and building design projects and a final year project with practising engineers. The department provides material testing and design consultancy services and collaborates with government agencies on infrastructure and disaster-resilience studies.
